On Saturday, two groups of first-year students at BMS Faculty presented a seminar within the requirements of the first and second weeks of the Educational Unit GENERAL Basic Medical Sciences 1 (GBMS 1) Block, in the form of a presentation that was the first group presentation on the scientific content of the first week entitled Epithelial Tissue, presented by students:
(*) Noha Jamal (*) Mohammed Tawfiq (*) Mohammed Hamdi
(*) Wisal Hassan.
The presentation of the second group on scientific content for the second week, entitled Marfan Syndrome, was presented by students:
(*) Sarah Jamal (*) Jibril Jalal (*) Fares Mohammed (*) Mona Ibrahim.
During the first part of the seminar, the students discussed the so-called T.L.S. learning session in which students meet in groups, to discuss what was studied during the week, write down their questions, queries and observations, and then present them to the faculty members, who provide students with the necessary explanations, comment on, add notes, and provide the summary of the educational module in the presence of teaching supervisors(Tutors).
Students then conduct a group quiz test in which they answer questions prepared by faculty members in advance, to further emphasize understanding.
The team then presented their presentation, which is a summary of what was studied during the week, whether in brainstorming sessions, \”Debriefing\” or in laboratories and lectures, then the faculty members discuss them and evaluate the scientific content of the presentation, as well as evaluate the skills of the presentation based on the prepared content, and assure students of the depth of the educational objectives of the week.
During these years, students of the first three years of medicine and first-year students studying oral and dental surgery are fully educated.
