On Monday morning February 7, 2021, the second year students (specializing in Clinical Laboratory Sciences) at AMS, visited the laboratories of Al-Kuwaifia Teaching Hospital for Chest Diseases, during which they received a laboratory lesson in the subject of (Microbiology) with the subject professor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hammad.
This visit focused on introducing students to the identification of tuberculosis, by examining the interactions of detection of tuberculosis, meaning the two types of tuberculosis bacteria, and the method of detection and dealing with the patient in the hospital, in addition to the types of media in which these bacteria are grown.
This visit comes within the faculty’s plan to update and develop teaching methods and curricula, and to enhance students ’research and knowledge skills, in terms of providing them with a pioneering educational and research environment that enables them to obtain ample scientific knowledge and effective practical experience in the fields of scientific specialization, and in implementation of IBL learning methods.
