M.S.S Session for AMS Students

m.s.s[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 8th March 2021 first-year AMS students attended (M.S.S) Medical Scientific Skills sessions, in which they gave presentations on Tobacco Control to be presented in the presence of the AMS academic supervisor, who assessed the students ’performance based on Specific criteria for presentations and feedback.
It is worth mentioning that the M.S.S Course is an educational unit or course for 28 weeks where students would cover the basics of academic writing and attend various tutorials to understand the different structures of academic literature. Moreover, students would improve their communication and presentation skills throughout the different workshops, tutorials, and presentations which cover and assess a wide range of skills, including critical reading, data analysis about a range of global health issues.

In addition, students would gain the fundamentals of biostatistics which would enable a better understanding of data and enable students to discuss and write data in a form of short scientific report. Furthermore, this course provides an opportunity to develop self-directed learning techniques.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
